The World Ambedkarite Literature Corporation honored Suresh Dange—a poet and writer from Chimur—by presenting him with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Literature Award.
The 6th World Literature Conference of the World Ambedkarite Literature Corporation was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. During this literary conference, the award was conferred upon Suresh Dange in recognition of his distinguished contributions across the literary, cultural, educational, and social spheres.
The award was presented to Suresh Dange at the hands of the President of the 6th World Literature Conference, the renowned playwright Dr. Sunil Ramteke.
Present on this occasion were the Conference’s Reception Committee Chairman Dr. Jagan Karhade; Dr. Rajesh Gaikwad, a member of the Maharashtra State Board for Literature and Culture; Dr.Deepakumar Khobragade; Principal Dr.Vaishali Pradhan; Dr. Anil Kalbande; and Adv. Bhupesh Patil, President of the Vamanrao Patil Smruti Pratishthan. The award consists of a commemorative memento and a certificate of honor.
Suresh Dange has published several poetry collections, including Saptasrujan and Tu Haslis Mhanje. His book Dakhal was published recently. He has edited numerous commemorative volumes and has penned forewords for books authored by various literary figures. He currently serves as the Executive Editor of Tapobhumi, a periodical publication.
Suresh Dange also served as the Co-Chairman of the Reception Committee for the First All India Ambedkarite Literature Conference, which was held in Chimur in 2019.
He has organized various literary conferences, poetry symposiums, and book launch events throughout the East Vidarbha region. For many years, he has been consistently active in the social, educational, and cultural sectors.
Many individuals have extended their congratulations to Suresh Dange on receiving the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Literature Award.
