“A public lecture on the subject ‘Women Where Godmen Are Present’ has been organized today in Nanded (District). The keynote speaker for this event is Shyam Manav, the Founder-Organizer of the All India Superstition Eradication Committee.
Why do women fall prey to ‘Babas’ (godmen) like Kharat? How do godmen and astrologers deceive women? What inducements are offered? How does physical and financial exploitation occur? How does one identify a fraudulent godman? Can legal action be taken against such godmen under the Anti-Superstition Act? In line with these themes, today’s lecture will feature a detailed discussion based on real-life experiences and case studies involving the exposure of such frauds…
The lecture is scheduled for today, Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM. The venue for the event is the Shankarrao Chavan Auditorium, Nanded.
This lecture, titled ‘Women Where Godmen Are Present,’ has been organized by the Nanded District Branch of the All India Superstition Eradication Committee (ANiS), in collaboration with various like-minded parties and organizations in Nanded.
