The election campaign for 29 municipal corporations and municipalities in Maharashtra state is in full swing. Many party leaders and office-bearers have made claims and counter-claims of victory before the elections.
However, the party chiefs and office-bearers of the Bahujan Samaj Party and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi have not made any pre-election claims about their corporator candidates winning the municipal corporation elections.
However, the Bahujan Samaj Party and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi have started vigorous efforts to get their respective candidates elected, and they have launched their election campaign in the same manner across Maharashtra.
The true characteristic of democracy is not making claims of victory before the elections. When various parties make claims and counter-claims about their candidates winning before the voting, it means they do not have faith in the democratic election process, or they are conducting the election process in an undemocratic manner and influencing the voting process.
The leaders of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, Adv. Prakash alias Balasaheb Ambedkar and youth leader Sujat Ambedkar, have taken charge of the corporator campaigns and have strengthened the winning prospects of their party’s candidates throughout Maharashtra.
The Bahujan Samaj Party and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi are political parties that do not disregard the rights of the citizens of the state and the country by promoting capitalist ideologies.
Moreover, the party chiefs, office-bearers, and workers of both these parties stand by their words. Therefore, the responsibility of electing the corporators of these two parties should rest with the voters.
Similarly, they focus on ensuring that the planning and decisions made within the municipality are in the best interest of the local citizens.
If the citizens of the 29 metropolitan areas want true and factual information about the planning and decisions made within the municipal corporation, and if they do not want planning and decisions to be made against their interests in the municipal corporation assembly, then there is no harm in hoping that voters will not give importance to money while casting their votes.
Vanchit The Bahujan Aghadi is a political party in Maharashtra, founded by Prakash Ambedkar. The party’s ideology is constitutionalist, Ambedkarite, secular, socialist, and progressive.
The party’s leaders have formed alliances or fronts with several political parties sharing similar ideological policies.
The Bahujan Samaj Party is the third largest national political party in India. It is a political party based on the ideologies of Phule, Shahu, Ambedkar, socialism, and democracy.
This party claims to follow the principles of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and aims for the welfare of the Bahujan community. It was founded in 1984 under the leadership of Manyavar Kanshi Ram.
Since 2003, Behan Mayawati has been leading the party as its president. The elephant is the party’s symbol. In the 2009 Indian general election for the 15th Lok Sabha, the party won 21 seats, making it the fourth largest party in the 15th Lok Sabha based on party strength.
Overall, since the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and the Bahujan Samaj Party are against capitalist policies, they are seen honestly struggling for the safety and upliftment of the country’s citizens and agitating to ensure that their rights remain protected within the framework of the Indian Constitution.
Therefore, both party leaders must be hopeful that voters will elect corporators from the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and the Bahujan Samaj Party in the upcoming municipal elections!
