Two of the five accused who stole electric aluminum wires from electricity poles have been arrested by Umred police in Nagpur district, while the rest of the accused are absconding.
1) Sundar Singh Harnam Singh Juni aged 44 years, 2) Kuldip Singh Darshan Singh Juni aged 23 years, both of Vidgaon Kamthi, 3) Jitendra Kumar alias Jitufulchand Chandravanshi aged 26 years, resident of Shikaritola, Tah. Surya, district Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh), 4) Laxman alias DM Purnawasi Bind aged 21 years, resident of Pahladpur, district Kaimurbhavua (Bihar), both of Vidgaon Kamthi, these four accused were arrested by Umred police, they are currently in MCR jail.
While Shriram Rambachchan Bind resident of Bihar state is absconding and Umred police is searching for those accused.
Complainant Shri. Milind Digambar Walde aged 36 years, resident of Ambek Layout Umred works as an engineer in Polycap Company.
The said company had been awarded the work of erecting electricity poles and connecting electric aluminum wires in Nagpur district by Mahavitaran.
The work of installing wires on poles was started from Thana to Navegaon (Sadhu), Tirkhura to Karhandla under Umred Sub Station.
On January 23, 2026, when the complainant went to the work site from Thana to Navegaon (Sadhu), he found that 2.9 km of the current electric line had been stolen. The value of these wires is Rs. 10 thousand.
At the same time, when the complainant went to the site from Tirkhura to Karhandla, it was found that 3.3 km of the closed line had been stolen. The value of these aluminum wires is Rs. 15 thousand. Together, the thieves stole aluminum wires worth Rs. 25 thousand.
Engineer Milind Digambar Walde filed a complaint at Umred Police Station regarding the theft of aluminum wire. According to his complaint, a case of theft was registered under Section 303 (2) of the IPC. The crime number of this crime is 753/2025. The above accused have 11 cases of theft registered against them in Umred Nagbhid, Pawni, Butebori, Bhiwapur, Kuhi, Kondhali, Bhandara.
