The nexus between police, politicians and illegal businessmen is a large network that fuels crime. It is a reality that some corrupt police personnel protect illegal businesses like matka, gambling, prostitution, drug sales and country and village liquor by taking bribes.
It has been seen in Chimur taluka under Chandrapur district that action against such illegal businesses is often delayed or avoided due to political interference.
By not taking strict action against illegal businessmen, the great sinners who push the citizens of Chimur taluka and Maharashtra state into a deep pit of complex problems and make them financially poor, physically and mentally handicapped, even if they dive into rivers, dams and the sea thousands of times, they will not doubt that they will wash away their great sins. They can never become pure, they can never become good people.
There is a discussion in every village about the role of illegal businesses and the police in collecting installments. It has often come to light that the police collect a certain ‘installment’ every month from the owners of illegal businesses. Although the illegal matka dens, small and large places selling illegal liquor, gambling dens, lodges or prostitution in domestic places running in the city and rural areas are ruining the society, the ruling ministers, MPs, MLAs and senior police officers ignore them, then the safety and progress of citizens are ruined. It must be said that the reason for this is the negligence of the rulers and the police administration.
Similarly, the irresponsible actions of the rulers, people’s representatives and the police department show that they do not want to allow a civilized, intelligent, enlightened, egalitarian and advanced society to emerge.
That is, it is noticeable that they do not want to launch a special campaign to stop illegal businesses, do not want to build a responsible society.
Drug trafficking, speculation, gambling, unlicensed liquor sales, black marketing of domestic gas cylinders, food grains targeting the youth are serious cases.
If the police do not take action, then a complaint can be filed with a senior police officer or directly in the court. But since the common citizen is not ready to approach the court, illegal businesses are increasing at a rapid pace in urban and rural areas.
Illegal businesses like matka, gambling, sale of village and country liquor, drug smuggling, black marketing of domestic gas and unauthorized constructions are seen to be rampant in Maharashtra. It has been found that these businesses often operate due to the negligence or connivance of the police.
Due to which the youth are getting trapped in addictions like liquor and betting and destroying their families. Many people are also resorting to betting or gambling due to the greed of earning money at a young age.
While betting dens, places selling illegal liquor, and gambling dens are operating in Chimur taluka, the police are not closing down these illegal businesses. This shows that they are helpless. It is the duty of the police to bring to book those who have brought this helplessness to their duty.
If anyone is continuing illegal businesses and making them helpless in the presence of power, why does he not provide this information to his superiors and the High Court? This is the question.

Cases of illegal businessmen extorting money are coming to light, and they are not aware that the image of the police is being tarnished due to this. Will they protect the public?
