The Dalai Lama’s office has denied the reports of any meeting with Jeffrey Essien. The statement issued by the office clearly states that the 14th Dalai Lama and Jeffrey Essien have never met.
Also, the Dalai Lama did not allow anyone to meet or discuss with Estin on his behalf. All the reports in the media that the Dalai Lama had dined with Estin or had a private meeting with him are baseless and incorrect.
It is being said that Estin’s desire may be behind the mention of the Dalai Lama’s name in the documents. According to available information, in 2014, Estin expressed his desire to take some people to meet the Dalai Lama in an email, but in reality, no such meeting took place.
Therefore, his office has clarified that it is wrong to directly link the Dalai Lama in this case. This revelation has brought great relief to his devotees and followers.
