In Indian tradition, women have been regarded as the very foundation of Shakti, creation, and leadership.

Dear Readers,

Today, this very philosophy has taken the form of concrete policy, wherein women are viewed not merely as beneficiaries but as the van-guard of development.

Over recent years, it has become abundantly clear that when granted access to opportunities, resources, and participation in decision-making,the power of women scales new heights in every sphere. From the armed forces to startups, and from sports to science and research, the daughters of our nation are carving out new dimensions through their talent and diligence.

This transformation is not merely symbolic; rather,it is the direct outcome of policy priorities that have placed women’s participation and leadership at their very core. The endeavor to transform women’s reservation into reality is also an integral part of this broader vision. Despite not receiving the requisite support in Parliament, the Government of India remains steadfast in its commitment to securing women their rightful entitlements.

The theme of the cover story of New India Samachar (1-15 May, 2026) ‘Half the Population, Full Rights: Government committed to Reservation’ reflects the effort by the Government of India to make women reservation a reality.

In the personality section, there is a special article on Param Vir Chakra recipient Major Hoshiyar Singh. Along with it, special content on Union Cabinet decisions have also been included in this issue.

For easy accessibility, the e-New India Samachar is now available in Hindi, English, and 11 other Indian languages. You can click on the link in your preferred language to explore the latest edition and stay informed about the dynamic developments shaping the nation.

Best wishes and Regards….
