24 tribal farmers from Kusumbi in Jiwati taluka, who have been fighting for justice and rights for the last 42 years, have finally succeeded in their confidence. It should be noted that legal expert Talathi Vinod Khobragade has made a valuable contribution to this fight.

On the appeal filed against Manikgarh Cement Company (now Ultratech Cement) under the leadership of social activist Vinod Khobragade, the Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur, gave a verdict in favor of the farmers on March 27, 2025.

After this, in the final meeting held between the company and the farmers on September 9, 2025, it was agreed to provide farm compensation, housing compensation and jobs by September 30, 2025.

This struggle of tribal farmers had been going on since 1983. Since 2013, Vinod Khobragade fought from the lower court to the High Court and the Supreme Court to get justice for these farmers.

Finally, his tireless efforts were successful. According to the resolution taken in this meeting, the farmers will get the following compensation. Farmers will get Rs 10 lakh per hectare of land compensation and Rs 1 lakh per house compensation, as well as two people from each family will be given jobs.

The concerned farmers have been appealed to open accounts immediately and the farmers will get their rights.
