Manoj Jarange Patil has been continuously demanding reservation for the Maratha community under backwardness for the last 2 years through various agitations.
He clarified today from Azad Maidan, Mumbai, that he will not drink water from tomorrow as part of his fast to death as the Maharashtra government is not paying serious attention to his demand.
Whether the Maharashtra government takes the issue of Maratha reservation seriously or tries to kill time by making excuses again will be known in the next 24 hours.
However, since Manoj Jarange Patil has experienced the various time-wasting tactics of the Maharashtra government ministers and the de facto Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, he is now ready to die to achieve Maratha reservation.
His announcement today that he will not drink water from tomorrow, i.e., September 1, 2025, every Monday, as part of a fast unto death, is a serious matter for the Maharashtra government.
If reservation is not given to the Maratha community, there is a possibility that the BJP will lose the government at some point.
