The Supreme Court has finally granted bail to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, who is under arrest in the liquor policy case. The ED did not oppose the bail.
The Supreme Court has granted bail to AAP’s MP Sanjay Singh. The Aam Aadmi Party is taking this as a relief. Court granted bail as ED did not raise any objection for bail.
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED in October 2023 in connection with the money laundering investigation related to Delhi’s Excise Policy for the year 2021-22. After former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh was arrested in this case.
The case was being heard in the Supreme Court before a bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice PB Varale.
Sanjay Singh’s lawyer told the court that money laundering has not been confirmed and no money trail has been found. Despite this, Sanjay Singh has been in jail for 6 months.
Finally, on Tuesday, ED did not raise any objection to his bail. Therefore, Sanjay Singh was granted bail.
