Pune : On the auspicious occasion of the country’s 77th Republic Day, an unprecedented celebration of patriotism unfolded in the premises of the ‘Chalwadi Educational Institute’ in Vidyanagar. During the ceremony, the students of Pune International School and Junior College mesmerized the audience with their performances.
Former member of the Pune Municipal Corporation Education Board, Balasaheb Janrao, was present as the chief speaker, while former corporator Dr. Hulgesh Chalwadi, school vice-president Adv. Renuka Chalwadi, Sudhir Waghmode, Swapnil Shirke, Yoga Guru Namdev Ingle, Surekha Janrao, and Sayali Shinde were present as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering after the flag hoisting ceremony, Balasaheb Janrao stated, “The Indian Constitution is not just a set of rules on paper, but it is the soul of this country. To keep this soul alive and to create responsible citizens, the principles of the Constitution must be instilled in children’s minds right from primary education.”
The chief guest and chairman of the institution, Dr. Hulgesh Chalwadi, while praising the students, said, “Seeing the sparkle in the children’s eyes and the enthusiasm in their voices today, I am convinced that the future of India is in safe hands.” He wholeheartedly appreciated the students’ patriotic performances. The program was truly enlivened by the young students of the school. Their patriotic songs, the melodies of the group songs, and the rhythm of the group dances captivated the hearts of the audience.
The students’ disciplined drill display presented a glimpse of the strength of the Indian Army. Following this, the thrilling demonstrations of yoga, Surya Namaskar, and gymnastics captivated the attention of those present.
The under-14 players (football, kho-kho, cricket) who achieved success through their hard work on the field, and the winners of the drawing competition were felicitated by the dignitaries.
The program was conducted in a very fluent and effective manner by Arpita Rath, while Smita Londhe concluded this memorable ceremony by expressing gratitude to all those present.
