Why is the name of Finance Minister Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar not in the FIR in the Mundhwa land scam case in Pune? The Mumbai High Court has directly questioned the Pune Police today.
Due to this serious question from the Mumbai High Court, there are signs that the law will now be wrapped around Parth Pawar in this alleged land scam worth Rs 1800 crore.
A single bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar asked this question to the government party while hearing the anticipatory bail application of accused Sheetal Tejwani in this case.
Justice Jamdar raised a strong objection to the absence of Parth Pawar’s name in the FIR. “Are the police saving the Deputy Chief Minister’s son and only investigating others?” the judge asked. On this, public prosecutor Mankunwar Deshmukh informed the court that the police are taking necessary action as per the law and our investigation is going on.
40 acres of land in Pune’s Mundhwa area was sold to Amadia Enterprises LLP for about Rs 300 crore. Parth Pawar is the majority partner in this company. It was later revealed that this land is government-owned and cannot be sold.
This land falls under the Mahar Watan category, which cannot be sold without the prior permission of the government.
In this case, a committee headed by the Inspector General of Registration found Parth Pawar’s business partner Digvijay Patil, Sheetal Tejwani, who was the power of attorney for the sale of the land, and Ravindra Taru, the secondary registrar, guilty and registered a case.
The anticipatory bail application was heard in the second FIR filed by Sheetal Tejwani, the accused in this case. The court Tejwani was asked why he did not go to the sessions court instead of coming directly to the High Court.
Justice Jamdar asked the petitioner’s lawyers to withdraw the petition, otherwise a heavy fine would be imposed, he explained.
However, there is talk among the citizens of Maharashtra that the government machinery was misused to save Parth Pawar, as he is the son of Finance Minister Ajitdada Pawar.
