Indian Army soldier Mr. Avinash Shamrao Khedekar was going from Mauja Mohadi in Nagbhid taluka to Mauja Kalamgaon in Chimur taluka when his tractor hit the catchbin on the Jambhulghat-Neri road.
The accident took place near Mauja Rampur Phatya under Mauja Neri Gram Panchayat and the Indian Army soldier died on the spot.
Since it was Raksha Bandhan, Jawan Avinash’s wife and younger brother’s wife had come to Mauja Kalamgaon by bus to tie a rakhi to their brother. Jawan Mr. Avinash Shamrao Khedekar was going to Mauja Kalamgaon to pick them up.
The accident occurred when the catch bin of a tractor that was plowing the paddy field hit the bike of soldier Avinash. The motorcycle is a Royal Enfield company and its registration number is MH34-BW100.
Social activist Pintu Khatik reported the accident to the Chimur police. After this, a police team reached the spot.
After conducting a panchnama at the spot, the body of Shri. Avinash Shamrao Khedekar was sent to the Sub-District Hospital, Chimur, under Chandrapur district for autopsy. (The accident took place in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra state, India)
The deceased Indian Army soldier died on the spot after being hit on the head. However, the tractor driver who caused the accident has absconded with the tractor.
