All those who conspired with Parth Pawar, including him, in the so-called Mahar Watan land transaction case in the cultural capital of the state, Pune, should be registered and arrested, and the transaction of this land should be canceled and transferred to the original owner, said Bahujan Samaj Party’s State General Secretary, West Maharashtra Zone Chief In-charge Dr. Hulgesh Chalwadi on Friday (7th).

Dr. Chalwadi also made a strong demand that the Pune Police Commissioner should register a case against Parth without succumbing to any political pressure. Dr. Chalwadi also said that he will file a complaint of the entire matter with the ‘NCSC’. In this regard, Dr. Chalwadi submitted a representation to the Governor and the Chief Minister through the Resident District Collector.

Nearly a thousand acres of land in Pune belongs to the Mahar Watana. These lands, which are symbols of the bravery of our ancestors, were looted in this manner. There are lands of the Mahar Watana in Wanawadi, Ravet, Wagholi, Wakad, Yerawada, Kharadi, Vadgaon Sheri, Ghorpadi, Naidu Hospital, Dhanori, Lohegaon.

The Chief Minister should personally look into this matter and form a special committee to get these lands back to their rightful owners. BSP has been fighting this issue for the past several days. If these lands are not transferred to the original owners, we will appeal to the Supreme Court and the High Court, Dr. Chalwadi clarified.

The land at Survey No. 88, Mundwa in Pune belongs to the Mahar Watana. According to the law, this land cannot be bought and sold. However, Mahar landowners were cheated by buying and selling land. Will the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar resign for taking serious note of this matter? Dr. Chalwadi raised this question. He also warned that if appropriate action is not taken, the BSP will take to the streets and protest.

Bahujans need to organize and fight for the land of Mahar land. In particular, the BSP demanded that all Mahar landowners in Pune district be re-surveyed and the land that was eroded should be transferred to the original owners, and that the Pune city Tehsildars should conduct a thorough investigation into the orders given by them regarding Mahar, Ramoshi and Patil land during their tenure.
