    Police officer Vikas Shelke posted at Nigdi police station has been arrested. The anti-narcotics squad of Pimpri Chinchwad police has arrested Shelke for trying to sell Mephedrone (MD) drugs.

There has been a stir after a police officer’s name came up in the drug trade.

 The shocking thing is that 44.50 kg MD drugs worth Rs 45 crore were seized from Police Sub Inspector Shelke, which has created a stir in the state. On Friday (March 1) at around 4:30 am, Sangvi police first took action in Pimple Nilakh and arrested 32-year-old Namami Shankar Jha, a native of Bihar.

 Shelke arrested after investigation

After arresting Jha, 2 kg 38 grams of MD worth Rs 2 crore was seized from him. After the name of police officer Shelke surfaced in this case, senior officials conducted a thorough investigation of the case and Shelke was arrested at midnight, after which 44.50 kg of MD drugs were seized from the police officer.
