Counting of votes is underway in five states. Only in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, BJP is nearing majority to establish power while Congress has secured majority to establish power in Telangana state.

In the states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, there would have been a Congress government, or in the state, BJP would have got the majority to establish the government after Congress, whereas in the state of Madhya Pradesh, there would have been a BJP government and the voters there were seen to be preferring the BJP.

For the last 10 years in Telangana state, Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao’s BRS party would have been ruling, or the Congress party would have got the power in Telangana state.

Since voting is still going on, it is not clear which party has won which constituency.

On the day before the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, BSP supremo sister Mayawati had tweeted on Twitter saying, “Even if BJP does not come to power, Congress should not come to power. … or as a part of the analysis in the context of the sentence, the voters of the Sadar sentence are very big. The extent to which Asawa had such an impact can be seen after the conclusion of assembly elections in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
