The Maharashtra Public Safety Act is a restriction on the fundamental rights of citizens and a suppression of the rights of citizens along with democracy.

Similarly, the Maharashtra government has brought the Maharashtra Public Safety Act to prevent citizens from protesting against the government and for their protection. This law is a kind of dictatorial working method of the rulers.

That is why today a strong public movement was organized by the office bearers of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, the office bearers of the National Congress Party and the workers to oppose this black law and to repeal this law.

Today, a movement was organized in Chimur under the leadership of the Maha Vikas Aghadi against the Maharashtra Public Safety Bill 2024. At this time, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Dr. Satish Warjukar, Chandrapur District Congress Committee General Secretary Gajanan Bhau Butke, Taluka Congress Committee Chimur President Dr. Vijay Gawande Patil, Chimur Taluka Nationalist Congress President Prakash Bhau Potraje, Shiv Sena’s Devidasji Girde, Suresh Gajbe, Kavaduji Khedkar, Vivek Kapse, Mayor Avinash Agade, Pappu Sheikh, Subhash Bansod, Diwakar Meshram, Banduji Hivarkar, youth leaders Sandeep Kaware, Vinod Raut, Raju Chaudhary, Prashant Dawle of Youth Congress and many office bearers and activists were present in the public movement.

At this time, strong slogans were raised against the government. The Maharashtra Public Security Bill implemented by the state government is anti-constitutional and anti-democratic and is a violation of the fundamental rights of the people.

The government’s ulterior motive is to suppress the activists of the social movement and strengthen the authoritarian system. Therefore, the agitators demanded that this bill be repealed.
