Brahmapuri :- Three scholarships of the Government of India, ‘Pragati, Svanath and Saksham’, have been announced on the basis of merit for seven students studying at the Government Technical College here.
‘Pragati Scholarship’ is given to meritorious girls pursuing diploma and degree studies in technical education with the aim of ‘empowering women through technical education’, ‘Svanath Scholarship’ is given to meritorious boys and girls who have lost their father’s umbrella and ‘Saksham Scholarship’ is given to disabled students through the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
The students who received the Pragati Scholarship of Rs 50,000 each are Ms. Gayatri Praveen Chatare and Ms. Shrinkhal Hansraj Saijare of Electrical Engineering, Ms. Vaishnavi Sanjay Gaikwad and Ms. Shreya Ramdas Raut, Ms. Sanika Uddhav Narote of Civil Engineering, Krish Devendra Gohane of Civil Engineering, Saksham to Krish Devendra Gohane, and Ritesh Dnyaneshwar Chacharkar of Mining Engineering have been announced as Swanath to receive scholarships of Rs. 50 thousand each.
These scholarships are available for all three years of the degree. For this, an application has to be submitted through the institute every year.
Under the guidance of the institute’s Prof. Principal Dr. Rajan Wankhade, Prof. Minal Moon coordinated to receive this scholarship. For this success, Dr. Rajan Wankhade, Prof. Principal, along with Head of Department Dr. Ashish Bahendwar, Prof. Madhuri Nagdeve, Prof. Jayant Borkar, Prof. Shalini Kharkate, Prof. Hastimal Kumawat, Prof. Meenakshi Manalwar, Prof. Nitin Dorlikar, all lecturers and staff congratulated the students and their parents.
