Why were the owners and drivers of the sand-stealing tractors not charged under Section 392 of the IPC? — Six tractors were seized by Chimur police on the morning of March 27th for stealing sand from the Mahadwadi-Harni riverbed.. — Since all the sand thieves are BJP-related, unfounded action by Chimur police!.

            Illegal sand theft is being done on a large scale in Chimur taluka in the name of unemployment. The fact is that the officers and employees of Chimur taluka are consciously ignoring this illegal business and are avoiding taking action against them since they are BJP-related sand thieves.

              Dated March 27th, 2025 Every Thursday, many tractors that were illegally stealing sand from the Harni-Mahadwadi riverbed in the early hours of the morning were caught by the citizens of both the villages and the Sarpanch of Mahadwadi, Bhojraj Kamdi, and six out of the nine tractors were handed over to the Chimur police.

         Tractor drivers Mr. Vijay Patru Meshram residing in Savargaon, Mr. Amol Khushal Dadmal residing in Neri, Mr. Nandu Kaniram Sherki residing in Wadala (Paiku), Mr. Kailas Haridas Nannaware residing in Neri, Mr. Vikalp Dinkar Nannaware residing in Neri, Mr. Mandar Jagdish Dhone residing in Neri, Mr. Lakhan Santosh Shriram residing in Sonegaon, Mr. Ratan Kshetri Meshram residing in Savargaon, Mr. Sandeep Devrao Nannaware residing in Neri, all of them were caught by the villagers of Harni when they came to the Harni Ghat to fill the sand.

              Chimur police showed great mercy on all those sand thieves and took action against them under section BNSS 128 of the Bhanavi Act and it has been said that a letter has been given to the Tehsildar for further action.

         It is being said in the public mind that the Chimur police have taken unfounded and rash action since all these tractors belong to the workers of MLA Kirtikumar alias Bunty Bhangadia.

          There is no way to know who has thwarted the police’s intention to take action against sand thieves and tractor owners under Section 392 of the IPC.

               Now, wouldn’t it be better if no case is registered against any accused under the Chimur police station and they are given immunity? This question is being raised by knowledgeable citizens.

          If the officers and employees are afraid to take action against them since the sand thieves have political power, what is the importance of their positions? There is a strong possibility that this sentiment will emerge among the public.
