For the past 11 years, illegal mining of minor minerals, “sand and murum, has been going on at a rapid pace in Chimur taluka. The concerned officials of Chimur taluka and Chandrapur district are not seen showing any sense of duty to cooperate with the dutiful journalists and dutiful citizens who are ready to protect minor mineral assets.

However, the concerned officials of Chimur taluka and Chandrapur district are seen performing their sensitive duty to directly and indirectly cooperate with the corrupt tycoons who are stealing large quantities of minor minerals, this is a bitter truth.

What should be said about the role of the authorities in not getting time to pay attention to the illegal mining and take penal and criminal action against the perpetrators while illegal sand and gravel mining is taking place day and night in Chandrapur district including Chimur taluka?

However, if dutiful citizens and sensitive journalists of a village try to prevent or stop illegal mining of sand and gravel (to protect government and public property) and if dutiful citizens and sensitive journalists call the concerned officials and seek their cooperation in this noble duty, the concerned officials do not pick up the phone, and perhaps even if they pick up the phone, the officials and employees do not reach the spot on time, this is an experienced reality.

Secondly, when dutiful citizens and sensitive journalists make good efforts to protect public and government property like minor minerals, if they put in proper effort, the concerned officials are seen to illegally threaten them or take action against them in an inappropriate manner, what should be done about the role of these officials as property thieves and public property thieves? When will the Maharashtra government ask this question!…

I have explained in yesterday’s news with the article that the citizens and journalists of the country have the fundamental right to protect public property and public property. For example, illegal mining of sand and gravel Citizens of the country also have the right to stop vehicles transporting sand.

Along with this, journalists/reporters/representatives have the right to collect news under any incident and development and this right is given by the Indian Constitution. Due to this, crimes cannot be registered against journalists who collect news. In such a situation, how can officials misuse their position or their money and file false cases against journalists under an inappropriate mindset to file complaints in the police department? This question arises.

However, it should be said that the concerned officers and concerned employees who ignore illegal mining are the ones who create obstacles in government work, otherwise it should be considered that…

The concerned officers and concerned employees under Chandrapur district who consciously ignore illegal minor mineral mining should be suspended by the Maharashtra government or the concerned senior officers, their increments should be stopped. The knowledgeable people of the district are of the opinion that penal and criminal action should be taken against them.

The case of Mahe April 2025 in Mauja Pimpalgaon in Chimur taluka was about stopping illegal sand transportation by citizens and The citizens were protecting minor minerals like sand.

However, in the Pimpalgaon case, the concerned officers and employees of Chimur taluka had misused their authority and used all their strength to provide complete protection to the highway drivers and highway owners who were illegally transporting sand at night. There was a heated discussion in Chimur taluka about the political support of an MLA behind this power.

It is shocking and equally serious that Chimur Tehsildar Shridhar Rajmane, following a false report, abandoned two highways and a Pokeland without taking action. The case of illegal sand transportation and illegal sand extraction in Mauja Pimpalgaon was a shocking and equally serious case.

In the Mauja Pimpalgaon case, it is clearly seen that the concerned officers may have felt blessed to serve the sand thieves.

In the Mauja Pimpalgaon sand theft case, directly While many citizens were witnesses, the officers did not maintain the dignity and shame of their position. This incident in Pimpalgaon showed how dangerous the officers who misuse their position are.

Citizens of Pimpalgaon had caught two highway vehicles transporting sand under illegal excavation and informed the concerned officers through mobile phones. However, not a single responsible officer reached the spot. Should this dereliction of duty be called negligence?

“A thief is a thief and a shirjor, according to this money, Mr. Swapnil Yavale, resident of Nagpur, went to Bhisi Police Station on April 22, 2025 and filed a false complaint against the residents of Mauja Pimpalgaon and journalists, (unknown accused) who was behind their inappropriate and illegal actions and role? A CID inquiry should be conducted in this regard.

Similarly, the Mauja Pimpalgaon sand theft case should be investigated by the CID instead of being investigated by the sub-divisional officers of Chimur and the sand theft case in Mauja Pimpalgaon should be “milk of milk and water of water”.

Will the sub-divisional officer of Chimur, Kishore Ghadge, honestly and conscientiously investigate the Mauja Pimpalgaon sand theft case? And will they do it in time?” This is one of the big concerns of the citizens of Chimur taluka…

That is why Chandrapur District Collector Vinay Gowda should write a letter to the CID and demand an investigation into the Mauja Pimpalgaon sand theft case and the false complaint given to Bhisi Police Station, this is the public opinion….
