There is a Post Basic Government Residential Ashram School in Jambhulghat, a village in Chimur taluka of Chandrapur district. 538 students live in this school to study. The safety and other important responsibilities of all these residential students lie with the principal, superintendent, cook, and others.
No compromise can be made in the safety of the students. In such a situation, students were given stale food to eat on the evening of 08 and 09 August 2025 during the rainy season.
As many as 267 residential students (boys/girls) were poisoned by stale food on both days. As soon as the parents of the students came to know about this poisoning, they reached the Post Basic Government Residential Ashram School in Jambhulghat and questioned the concerned about the food poisoning.
The parents did not accept the answers given by the concerned people of the ashram school under this inquiry. They took the principal and superintendent to task.
But, the question arises, under what rule were the residential students given stale food? Who is responsible for the students getting poisoned from stale food? Why was the safety of the students neglected? Why are the students being forced to eat stale food? Why are the students being beaten? Why are the students being pressured not to complain to their parents?
The poisoning of as many as 267 students due to being given stale food for two consecutive days is a serious matter.
It appears that the principal, superintendent, and cook are responsible for this incident. This is a sensitive matter and all of these irresponsible people should be removed from their posts.
